Bright Hospitality’s Social Partners work with and provide a range of services for new migrants, including refugees and asylum seekers, as well as other marginalised communities. There are a range of Federal and State funded support services for Migrants, Refugee and Asylum Seeker services in Sydney as well as the well-known Faith Based Services that support marginalised communities.

For further information on refugees and asylum seekers a good starting point is the Refugee Council of Australia website.

The largest support service for newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers in NSW is Settlement Services International (SSI), while STARTTS provides trauma counselling and community development support. In addition faith based social support organisations provide a wide range of services and support for new migrants and other marginalised people.

Community Support

There are many community organisations that do great work with the hundreds of immigrant communities in Sydney. A good place to start with getting in touch is the NSW Ethnic Communities Council.

For smaller and newer communities who often fly below the radar, the best method is googling the community in Sydney to find a link with one of the service providers such as a local Migrant Resource Centre. Many migrants and refugee communities can access services from their NSW locally based Migrant Resource Centres.
